Laura Hankins & Presly Prisock wed in a beautiful summer wedding ceremony on May 16, 2015, in Starkville, Mississippi, at the home of the groom’s parents, Mr. & Mrs. Buddy Prisock. Laura, what made your wedding special? Our wedding took place at the home of Presly’s parents. The spot where we stood at the moment when we said, “I do” is the same spot where we sat after one of our very first dates and the exact spot where Presly proposed to me. Needless to say, this special place is where our love began, where it grew, and where we chose to promise our love to each other forever. The coordinates of this exact location are engraved on a necklace given to me by Presly on our wedding day and on cufflinks that I gave to Presly on our wedding day, and displayed in our home on a piece of wood as a reminder of the place that means so much to both of us.
Laura, what was your inspiration? The inspiration for our wedding came from the surroundings. The ceremony was held in front of our lake, embracing the beauty that exists naturally. We chose to keep the colors neutral, the music soft, and the feeling intimate. The most important thing to us was that our family and friends felt as if they were a part of our ceremony, not just an observer. There were vintage touches to our wedding that were special to each of us and our families. It was very important to both of us that everything that was part of our day meant something to us, and this was the inspiration used in planning our special day!
