East Austin wedding is full of relaxed charm

We absolutely love, love, love this wedding! There is just something so incredibly charming about this ultra-relaxed east Austin event that just makes our hearts sing. This super chill couple embraced their new hometown of Austin hosting their event behind a cactus nursery in a hundred year-old pecan grove. Guests walked through the nursery and under twinkle lights to get to the ceremony site which featured a potted plant lined aisle of benches leading to the most glorious wood arbor covered with white anemone, eucalyptus, Italian ruscus, white and blush roses, baby’s breath and blue thistle.

Following the ceremony, which was officiated by the bride’s sister, the reception was held under a beautiful sperry tent. A relaxing lounge area was arranged with lawn games and even a full-sized ping pong table and vintage trailer photo booth to keep guests entertained. Food Trucks serving all kinds of barbecue fed guests who were also treated to a large variety of desserts, cupcakes and churros instead of traditional wedding cake. Our absolute favorite photos are of the newlyweds buying champagne at a liquor store and toasting each other with paper cups. They were obviously having a ball, and their photographs so expertly captured by White Buffalo Weddings make us wish we’d been invited to the party!
