Meghan and Rushton Cox’s stunning wedding in Memphis, Tennessee captures some of our favorite southern traditions in high style. Bella Baxter Special Events artfully planned and designed this upscale affair to include southern comfort food and tailgating without compromising on sophistication.
The couple was married in a beautiful Catholic ceremony followed by an elegant reception in the heart of downtown Memphis that celebrated their impeccable style, home towns, love of football, and their alma maters of Notre Dame and Mississippi State University.
Before the ceremony, their big day included a first look at The Columns, a trolley ride through downtown Memphis to the church and, of course, countless photos taken by Rob + Deanna Photography.
The Catholic ceremony, officiated by Reverend Mike Werkhoven took place under the incredible vaulted cathedral ceilings of St. Peter Catholic Church. Their beautiful reception at The Columns was a feast for the eyes and the palate. Personalized hangers and coordinated robes put a special touch on behind-the-scene details.
Meghan chose Kate Spade Izzie heels in Ivory for her walk down the aisle.

After their first look, Meghan and Rushton boarded a trolley from T-Star Luxury Ground Transportation for a ride through downtown Memphis to St. Peter Catholic Church.

For their first dance, Meghan and Rushton slowly swayed to the music of The Downtown Band.

Themed food stations by Paradox Cuisine included Stallion Steakhouse, Southern Comfort, Bayou to Bluff and Cowbells & Clovers.

Florals arrangements and runners throughout the reception were designed by L & Jay Productions.
Laura Jackson at The Flour Garden made this gorgeous six-tier wedding cake.
The couple took a bite out of the groom’s cake, an amazing likeness of MSU mascot Bully the Bulldog!

The bride and groom set up tailgating tents to honor their alma maters, Notre Dame and Mississippi State University.
