The transition to newlyweds is a wonderful and exciting time for couples. Your engagement period is filled with tons of “Firsts”: first date as an engaged couple, first time you wear YOUR ring on your left hand, first check you write to a vendor (eek!), and your first time having a home together as a married couple! We can’t imagine a better time to celebrate just being the TWO OF YOU than when everything is fresh and new and oh so special. And that’s why this in-home engagement shoot has completely stolen our hearts!
Enter Katie, Brad, and Brina of Brina Debalinhard Photography. This sweet, Canadian couple decided to have an engagement shoot in their new home in Edmonton, Alberta. Snuggling up on the couch under soft white sheets and cozy blankets- what could be more perfect?! These simple moments have a way of becoming timeless and cherished memories. Katie and Brad are just the loveliest couple and the connection between these two is beautiful, charming, and real.
Brina shares:
Katie and Brad were a dream to photograph. Seriously you can feel their love in all of the photos. When we talked about location for the photos they had JUST moved into their first home together so that was the perfect place to shoot. Such a special life milestone buying your first home.

Brina:
They were both nervous because they say they aren’t comfortable in front of the camera but THEY KILLED IT. Seriously Brad couldn’t keep his eyes off Katie and Katie literally couldn’t stop giggling. It was perfect. SO perfect. And come on, their puppy Penny wanted to show her love for them just as much. She stole the show such a gorgeous pup.
The giggles and smiles go on for days! Katie and Brad completely rocked this shoot and had us grinning from the first photo til the last. Engagement sessions are meant to be a celebration of the time before Mr. and Mrs.; the time when the possibilities are endless and exiting, and your new lives together stretch on and into forever. Penny stepped out for a second and let her parents have a little time for themselves. In-home sessions allow the photographer to truly capture the real and sincere connection between two people. Brad and Katie are so perfectly in love and we can’t get enough of all of the sweet vibes.

I have so much love for this in home session. Creating intimate galleries for couples is my favorite pastime.
