The new issue is online and will soon be in your markets, and we are so excited to share it with you! 2022 has been an amazing year for weddings! We are thrilled to see all the new, emerging trends and can’t wait to see which ones will continue and what new ones we’ll see as we head into 2023.
We have packed this issue with beautiful real weddings, unique styled shoots, and sweet engagements to inspire your wedding designs. Over stunning cover featured Morgan Hollis Cameron was captured by the amazing Sharon Coker of Jackson, MS who traveled with the Mississippi couple to the mountains of South Carolina for their destination event.
We’ve also added some really exciting wedding photography to this issue, unlike any we’ve featured before. This edition showcases a unique honeymoon session, a 10 year anniversary couple, and not one, but two bridal boudoir sessions. DK Hebert Photography’s gorgeous couple’s session just might melt our pages!
While home-town weddings have all gotten back to full-size, over-the-top affairs, I have to admit that I’ve been really inspired by the incredible elopements and destination weddings from this year. Our couples have taken the traditional elopement and turned it into something really special. From adventure weddings, out-of-state road trips, and even intercontinental events, the simple elopement has been elevated with unique details, great photography and thoughtful touches creating a whole new category of weddings.
This issue is loaded with destination and elopement weddings and advice, styled shoots, and nuptials in southern destination locations. Scroll down to read the full publication, but first, here is a sneak peek of just a few of our favorites from this issue. Destinations have been a big part of the wedding story during the last few years. This gorgeous southern couple headed west to the Hawaiian islands for an upscale and elegant island event.
For the #vanlife lover, we’ve included a great boho styled shoot from Ardent + Elm Photo that makes you want to grab a backpack and your significant other and take to the road for a romantic adventure.
We’ve tossed in a few traditional weddings, like this fun New Orleans event complete with a second line, Louisiana cuisine, and lots of French Quarter flair. A Texas lakefront event was an elegant take on a country setting, while a beautiful Florida beach wedding gave us less toes-in-the-sand overtones and more fairy tale vibes.
We were floored by this stunning Florida affair where Kristy and Pedro choose a secluded spot in Kelly Park/Rock Springs for a private ceremony where they exchanged vows before joining their guests later for an evening reception.
We love it when couples think out of the box, but we encourage you to think out of your neighborhood. There are so many special and beautiful locations for weddings across the southern states. With a little planning and research, you can have both the wedding of your dreams and a destination event too!
