I DO Y'ALL

Dreamy, spring rooftop wedding brunch

There’s something horribly chic about a rooftop wedding. Don’t get me wrong; I love a country fete or a mountain affair with the panoramic vistas. I guess it’s just the city girl in me that finds the view from atop a downtown building, the city sprawled at its feet, to be perfectly delightful. When you make that rooftop event a brunch reception, well you simply steal my heart. Rob and Matt’s brunch reception was enough to make us swoon with joy as the couple tied the knot at The Faulkner venue and celebrated above the Jackson, MS skyline last spring.

Crisp blue and white details with touches of gold and an initialed greenery wall set the stage for this beautiful springtime rooftop wedding. Wedding planner Gavin Snyder Events selected the perfect details to enhance the outdoor setting. Centerpieces in short gold bowls graced a mixture of round and high-top tables. The addition of the blue and white print linens on the high-tops reflected the wispy clouds floating in the crystal blue sky. Low-profile centerpieces and delicate serving pieces were selected to enhance the natural beauty of the view.

The grooms’ suits were nothing less than perfect. Kyris Kustoms created both men’s looks.
No nervous grooms here. These two helped each other with finishing touches just moments before their nuptials.

The pair said vows before their closest friends and family in one of the indoor spaces at The Faulkner. A beautifully decorated circle served as the ceremony arch.

The guys took a moment for themselves before heading out to the rooftop wedding reception. We love the intimacy of these moments so beautifully captured by Jon W. Photography.
Sunny days require stylish shades. The couple’s initials grace these custom pairs provided as favors for guests to take home.
Rob and Matt continued the use of their initials throughout their reception. Little details like the addition of the vinyl initial plexiglass on this boxwood wall add so much style.
Cheers to rooftop weddings, and CHEERS to this gorgeous couple!
Waffles and fresh fruit. Yes, please.

Organic pieces like this branch-like cake stand add yet another outdoor element to the design. The thin, see-through “branches” of the stand create drama without impacting the view.

This couple’s future is so bright, even their guests had to wear shades!
