Sunrise beach elopement

When the pandemic derailed the well planned wedding of Cailin and Colten Horne last fall, they searched their hearts and decided that a sunrise beach elopement at one of their favorite Port Orange, Florida spots would be the perfect plan B.

Cailin called their intimate ceremony “the most perfect celebration” of their love as they recited their vows at sunrise. The couple still incorporated some of the planned details in their event, as their closest family and friends joined them afterward for a small reception. Her girls even wore their planned bridesmaid gowns.

Cailin also insisted on having a first look with Colten even though nobody else would be a part of the beach elopement ceremony. “Even though we eloped, I knew I still wanted to have that special moment where my husband saw me in my dress for the first time. When I walked down the beach and hugged my husband and laid my face on his back before he turned around and saw me, time slowed down and it was just us. He turned around, and the pure emotion on his face is something I will remember for the rest of my life.

The couple still wanted to celebrate with family and friends even though they stuck to their plans for an intimate ceremony just for two.
We love that Cailin still had her bridesmaids wear their gowns as a way to distinguish their importance in her life.
NO beach elopement is complete without a dip in the ocean!
