Hello fall! We welcome the crisp air, golden foliage, and all the pumpkin spice. It is such a cozy time of year, and perfect for weddings! However, here on the Gulf Coast and throughout the South, even if it is technically fall, it sometimes doesn’t exactly feel like it. You could still be dealing with that hot summer humidity even in September and October here. Don’t fret though. You can have those cozy fall feels for your wedding even on a hot southern day! Check out our list below of 10 easy fall wedding decor ideas – humidity or not!
Jewel Tones
One super easy and chic way to make your wedding feel like fall is to incorporate jewel tones into your decor or attire. These rich and deep hues scream luxury and definitely take your decor up a notch without having to add in much.

Apples
While pumpkins may be the obvious choice for fruit decor, don’t overlook the apple! Apple cider, apple pie, and bobbing for apples, all staple fall things! Plus, you could really do a lot with this piece of decor. Arrange it simply throughout greenery on your reception tables, turn it into a candle holder, use it as guest place cards, and so much more. We like it so much we’ve even changed the old saying: “An apple a day brings the fall vibes this way!”

Leather
This one may not be your stereotypical fall find, but adding in pieces of leather here and there definitely plays up the vibe! Think guest favors, place cards, vow books, groom’s gifts, etc. Something about the color and feel of leather balances well with the fall foliage and overall feeling of autumn.

Al Fresco Dinner
Let’s take this celebration outdoors, y’all! One benefit of having a sorta-hot-sorta-chilly fall that isn’t typical to the rest of the country is that you can still have events outside without everyone getting cold. Imagine a long banquet style table, trees in yellows, golds, and reds all around, candles and lanterns lighting the space. Heaven, right?!

Candles
Speaking of candles, they’re a go-to for any and all wedding themes, we know. However, something about pairing them during this time of year with the other seasonal decor just seems like the perfect recipe.

Feathers
Yes, feathers! When done in a tasteful or playful way, this can be a really unique element to your decor or attire! Pop it into a felt hat for your bridal look or place throughout your tables, either way it will be an unexpected twist to the traditional fall look.

Copper
Copper is so fall and we love it paired with darker hues! Plates, flatware, cups (moscow mules anyone?!), candlesticks, you name it we love it. It’s the metallic touch we need without going overboard.

Velvet Touches
We can’t get enough of velvet incorporated into a fall wedding theme. There’s so many ways to include it too! We always adore velvet bridesmaids dresses. But if it’s still too hot in your location at the time of your wedding to be wearing it, include it in your decor instead! A velvet tablecloth or napkin really adds some dimension and texture to an otherwise bland table and looks so super chic.
