When Victoria Casher planned her December wedding to Colton Woodward, she included a few surprises that even the groom didn’t know were coming. The super stylish Jackson, Mississippi couple tied the knot at The Cedars in the trendy Fondren area of the city where their boho chic event found guests partying late into the night. Although the event was a reflection of the couple’s laid-back style, the carefully selected details captured the boho spirit of the bride perfectly. From the stunning Rava Avis gown the bride wore to the groom’s custom maroon suit with blue tie and patterned pocket square, the couple’s hip and trendy style fit the event perfectly.
Floral details were simple with wildflower style arrangements and single flowers tucked into vases and goblets of antique gold. A beautiful lounge area with a blue velvet couch and leather poufs flanked a macrame accented bar serving specialty drinks and Cathead vodka from the local distillery. Guests dined on mismatched vintage china on rustic farm tables placed under a lighted tent. Wood serving pieces complimented the rustic wood tables and added to the boho vibe. The lovely couple’s sweetheart table featured over-sized bamboo chairs placed in front of a hanging installation of twine and yarn tassels created by the bride. After cutting a small wedding cake, the bride surprised her sci-fi loving groom with a Star Wars themed groom’s cake and another Star Wars wedding cake which was carried into the reception followed by characters from the movie who joined guests for the party. We absolutely adored this couple and their creative wedding that really embraced all the things they love and enjoy together.
