This southern estate styled shoot features over the top flowers and stunning details in shades of plum and peacock blue. This styled shoot, which was expertly captured by Rakoteet Photography, is set against the backdrop of the famous Swan House at the Atlanta History Center, a home featured in several major films including the Hunger Games as President Snow’s Mansion. The wedding design combines old world elegance with contemporary details for a look that’s both timeless and fresh. The deep plum table linens are layered with a runner of greenery and flowers in the softest shade of pink and plum. Peacock blue linens add a modern pop of color under the traditional white and gold place settings while a matching blue velvet ribbon links the bride and groom chairs which are accented with a small painting of the famous estate.
The trio of crisp white cakes are anything but traditional with varying shapes and a carved center cake featuring what appears to be the interior vestibule of the mansion, complete with hanging chandelier. A modern acrylic seating chart features linen-style paper seating assignments in traditional gold calligraphy. Church pews are arranged at the foot of the garden stairs leading to the home while lush floral runners cascade along both sides of the enormous fountain and line the aisle leading to the “altar” area.
