Game of Thrones fans may have to wait until 2019 to watch the final season, but this beautiful Game of Thrones wedding inspired by the popular HBO series will give the GOT faithful a thrill. This Alabama wedding features some really great details carefully selected by the bride and her planning and design team from Lydia Noble Events. The team managed to capture the spirit of the show from the moody atmosphere of the outdoor garden ceremony of the Kirk House & Gardens in Axis, Al to tables named for the different “houses.” Even Naman’s Catering got in on the creativity serving Baratheon Boar, Hound Honey Ham, and Tyrion’s Tiny Tacos.
It certainly didn’t hurt that bride, Allie McDonald is a platinum blonde with khaleesi-level beauty. Her groom, Preston McGraw channeled his inner Jon Snow and sported a Hand of the King pin on his lapel. Each detail reflected the couple’s love of the series without being too cute or theme-heavy.The designers managed to create an event that was lush and elegant by pulling together ideas that would resonate with the couple and their guests whether they were fans of the show or not. There were beautiful details that even guests who don’t watch the show would recognize from pop-culture references, and enough subtle details to keep those die-hard fans happier than a basket full of dire wolves.
