We’re pulling out a vintage inspired farm wedding for Throw Back Thursday, and we are reaching all the way back to June of 2015 for what remains one of our team’s favorites. The wedding of Mary Kate McEacharn and John Luke Robertson was full of vintage touches as youthful and sweet as this adorable couple. You may recognize the bride as the lovely young lady who married into the Duck Dynasty family when she and John Luke, son of Willie and Korie Robertson, exchanged vows.
Becoming part of the extended Robertson clan was quite an event as the couple’s wedding was televised for the world to see and included a number of celebrity guests from the Robertson family to a musical performance by Dancing with the Stars‘ Mark Ballas who was Sadie’s (John Luke’s sister) dancing partner on the popular dance series. A southern wedding in every sense of the work, this young couple’s nuptials were held on the Louisiana family’s farm with vendors from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas supplying products and services. The grand event for more than 600 was planned, designed, and executed by Erin Vowell and Bethany Sigrest of Oak: A Southern Experience who worked their magic to pull of the perfect day. This event may have been held almost three years ago, but the never-ending details are as fresh as ever with mixed vintage seating, colorful, boho-style florals, adorable calligraphy signage, and a fabulous fireworks display to end the evening. Some of our favorite touches were the vintage truck filled with popcorn favors, the rustic cigar bar, and the amazingly detailed custom cookies by Claudia’s Creative Cookies that were miniature works of art. We hope this precious couple has decades and decades of happiness ahead of them!
