Danika Martinez and Nick Lawler’s winter engagement session by Dreaming Tree Photography was taken at Greenspot Farms in Mentone, California. Photographer Ashleigh Moshier shares their story:
Nick and Danika met in December of 2010, working at Islands, a restaurant in Riverside. Danika was a hostess and Nick was the cute busser that she had ever laid eyes on. Within days of meeting, they were spending as much time together as possible. From meeting each others families, to moving to Utah, Arizona, back home to California and everything in between.
On November 18th, Nick popped the question at Oak Glen Preserve and Botanical Garden, one of their favorite places. Just the two of them surrounded by beautiful, huge sequoia trees. Nick got down on one knee and asked the love of his live to be his wife. Danika described herself as a blubbering mess but managed to get out a great big, “OF COURSE!” through all her happy tears.
Nick is the youngest son of seven siblings. Danika has an older brother. Both families are extremely close knit. Danika and Nick are lucky enough that their families love spending time together when they can, like camping trips together, concerts as a group, barbecuing, etc. This couple spends a lot of time together laughing, which you can clearly see from their winter engagement photos. Smitten in love, and full of smiles and laughter. It really was a joy to watch and capture.
Congratulations, Danika and Nick! Thank you for sharing your winter engagement session with us! – IDY
