Engagements are cause for celebration! While the parents of the bride usually host the first party for a newly engaged couple in American culture, Indian tradition dictates that the groom’s family host the engagement party as a way of welcoming the bride and her relatives into their new family. When Khush Aujla and Saumya Goel got engaged, the couple and the groom’s family chose a Bollywood theme with all the glitz and glamour of a major film production. Signature Occasions coordinated the elaborate affair.

When the time came to celebrate the betrothal of Khush Aujla and Saumya Goel, both the couple and the groom’s family wanted a party that represented their culture and would be a memorable event.
From the towering centerpieces, white florals and gold accents, the design was dramatic and sophisticated, appropriate for an opening night in Bollywood.
Guests walked the red carpet down a hallway lined with lighted marquee “movie” posters, some featuring the happy couple!
Family members performed choreographed dances and skits throughout the night with a special dance designed especially to welcome the bride and performed by the groom, his sister and family.
The groom’s sister put her spin on a few tracks with DJ Deepak.
Spoiler alert: the guy gets the girl in this classic Bollywood romance!
What an incredible evening! Congratulations on your engagement, Khush and Saumya. We can’t wait to see the wedding photos! – IDY
