Lindsey Renee Brown & Matthew Alexander Rahn wed in a beautiful fall ceremony on September 19, 2015, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Enjoy all beautiful photographs by Heather Rafferty of EJR Photography and details of their wedding.
Lindsey, what made your wedding special?
I’m a news anchor in Minneapolis, Minnesota, so I’m a long way from my home of Long Beach, Mississippi. This made planning a wedding challenging, but I never considered getting married anywhere other than home. We had all my husband’s friends and family from his home state of Georgia, plus my friends from working across the country in the news business right on the beach in Gulfport. It was unforgettable to have everyone in a place I love so much. I was also thrilled to show so many visitors just how far the coast has come in the ten years since hurricane Katrina. Plus, as Ole Miss fans, we were thrilled that the Rebels took down Alabama on our wedding night!
What inspires you?
A Southern Garden Party with delicious seafood, lush flowers with a view of the Gulf of Mexico. I wanted my guests to feel the personal touch we added to every detail from food to decorations.
