I DO Y'ALL

FINISHING TOUCHES: Eyewear

The major wedding plans are finished.  You can now breathe a big sigh of relief.  But, you still have some  finishing touches to complete everything.  Some of these details, although less pressing, will command much attention and could impact the look of your special day.

One of these is eyewear.  Your eyewear is of great importance, not just for seeing and visual purposes, but it also serves as an accessory.  Because of this, your eyewear needs to be updated and stylish.  Eyewear can either enhance, distract or, in some cases, detract from your entire look.  Wearing outdated or inappropriate eyewear is a lot like wearing old tattered shoes with your wedding gown.  Think about the expensive photographs you pay to have taken.  You want everything to look good!  You want everything to be perfect!  If your makeup or hair isn’t right, you won’t be satisfied, so what’s the difference in old or unflattering eyewear.  It’s the same as bad makeup or a bad hairdo.  Your eyewear will be in all the pictures and you want it to complement your gown, veil and your entire wedding apparel.

Frame styles, hi-tech lens materials and coatings make a huge difference in a person’s visual needs, as well as attire.  Frames can be dressed up or down, strictly elegant or totally casual, and in some cases both.  Totally rimless styles are among  the smart choices in achieving either look.  If you add reflective coating in your lenses, they virtually disappear, making your eyes not only clear, but stunning for photographs.  Choosing the right frame for your eyewear is a personal choice and can be a bit difficult.

Choosing a qualified optical professional is crucial in making all eyewear decisions.  Money spent on eyewear is a good investment and unlike your wedding attire, eyewear becomes a part of your everyday wardrobe.  Like so many things in planning your wedding, remember to start early when shopping for eyewear and enjoy the whole process.
